The whisky has a unique bright gold colour, with an aroma of dried raisins, honeysuckle, oaky malt notes and hints of lemon citrus. The taste sees oak and butterscotch merge with dried fruits, followed by a touch of light spice. The finish is long, with notes of malt, vanilla and pear.
It’s a dram with wide appeal, as the ultra-smooth flavour profile is suited to both the whisky novice and aficionado. Drinks Trade sipped it while eating dark chocolate, which proved to be an excellent pairing.
